Aria Nicole Roach
Aria Roach, a California-based lighting designer, is a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Honors in Lighting Design. Passionate about storytelling through light, she’s worked on diverse productions, including musicals, plays, and dance productions.
Her credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Spring Awakening with Metro Theatre Co., and Physical Graffiti and Quit Bitchin’ at UCI. Drawing from her musical background, she integrates rhythm, tone, and dynamics into her designs, enhancing emotional impact and narrative. She’s particularly interested in how lighting shapes mood, movement, and space for immersive experiences.
Beyond theatrical lighting, she’s eager to expand into live event and concert lighting design, driven by her passion for music. She seeks to create dynamic and visually compelling concert experiences that enhance live performances.
When she’s not designing, Aria can be found teaching piano and violin or attending a rave or concert, always seeking inspiration from the music and atmosphere around her.
